Role: Program Manager
Overview: In my role as Program Manager at Nevada Youth Empowerment Project (NYEP), I lead the day-to-day operations of a transitional living program serving young women ages 18–24. My work combines direct program leadership with behind-the-scenes systems development overseeing staff and resident services while building the policies, procedures, curriculum, technology, and operational tools that support consistent program delivery. I focus on translating organizational goals into practical systems that strengthen staff effectiveness, improve program operations, and create a structured environment where young women can build the skills needed for greater independence.
Key Contributions and Projects:
Operational Oversight
Lead day-to-day program operations, coordinating resident services, scheduling, case management, staff coverage, programming, and emerging operational needs.
Monitor resident progress and program participation while maintaining the structure, expectations, and accountability necessary for consistent program delivery.
Develop practical systems and processes to address operational gaps, improve coordination, and support effective service delivery.
Coordinate crisis response, conflict resolution, and other complex situations while balancing individual resident needs with overall program operations.
Staff Leadership, Training & Development
Provide day-to-day staff supervision and oversight, establishing clear expectations, accountability, and consistent approaches to program implementation.

Develop structured curricula, discussion guides, worksheets, writing assignments, and facilitator resources that translate broad developmental goals into practical learning activities.
Adapt programming based on participant needs, engagement, and emerging challenges while maintaining clear learning objectives and program expectations.
Technology & Systems Development
Identify operational technology needs and develop solutions to strengthen program infrastructure, communication, documentation, and service delivery.
Secure external technology funding in partnership with Microsoft Reno and BluePeak Technology Solutions to expand NYEP's digital capacity and technology resources.

Introduce Google Chat as a structured communication platform for staff and residents, strengthening real-time communication, support, and conflict resolution.
Implement Microsoft Office tools and digital workflows to improve staff coordination, documentation, resident progress tracking, and day-to-day program management.
Digital Systems & Resource Accessibility
Digitize program forms, policies, educational materials, and resident resources to streamline workflows, reduce administrative barriers, and improve access to information.
Develop centralized digital resources that allow staff to locate current program materials and information more efficiently.
Expand resident access to program resources so young women can independently review expectations, schedules, assignments, forms, and educational materials when needed.
Use digital tools to reduce reliance on paper-based processes and support greater consistency, transparency, and resident autonomy.
Outreach, Communications & Community Engagement
Manage NYEP's digital communications across social media, email newsletters, Linktree, flyers, and other outreach materials to strengthen organizational visibility and community engagement.
Develop clear, consistent messaging that communicates NYEP's programs, resources, opportunities, and organizational approach to residents, partners, supporters, and the broader community.
